The NT20R67 is a transimpedance amplifier (TIA) with automatic gain control (AGC) manufactured in an advanced sub-micron, pure-CMOS process. The AGC provides more than 43dB dynamic range, giving an ultra low-cost, yet ultra-high-performance solution for all long and short reach SONET, ATM and Fast Ethernet products.
The NT20R67 die size, pad out and technical performance have been designed to make the part a drop-in replacement for the Mindspeed 2007.
For optimum system performance the NT20R67 die should be mounted with a silicon or InGaAs PIN photodetector inside a lensed TO-can receiver optical sub-assembly (ROSA).
A monitor pad is included which sinks an averaged copy of the photocurrent. This can be used for photodiode alignment and for monitoring the received optical mean power. |
