Nanotech Semiconductor announces new Director appointment

Dr. CHRISTIAN HESS JOINS AS DIRECTOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

 
Bristol, England, October 1st, 2006 - Nanotech Semiconductor Limited ("Nanotech"), a fabless IC company specializing in advanced Analogue & Mixed-Signal ICs for Communications applications, today announced the appointment of Dr. Christian Hess as Director, Business Development for the Plastic Optical Fiber (POF) product line.

Christian graduated in Electrical Engineering at Technical Hochschule in Leipzig, Germany and completed his PhD magna cum laude in optoelectronic sensors in 1989. The following 8 years were spent as Technical Director at a German niche distributor specialising in Fiberoptics and Optoelectronics. In 1999 Christian joined Microcosm Communications Ltd. in Bristol. At Microcosm he worked as Vice President Business Development EMEA. Following the completion of the acquisition of Microcosm by the Mindspeed division of Conexant in 2003 Christian moved to OASIS Silicon Systems in Karlsruhe, Germany as Marketing Manager IC Programs. OASIS is a world leader in POF 'PHY' ICs and systems for the Automotive market and following acquisition in 2005 by SMSC has successfully branched out into consumer POF markets.
